Parts of clients reviews: "... Les Baux-de-Provence is an amazing small town and experiencing it after the tourist crowds have departed for the day was magical... "...Beautiful little B B in the centre of Les Baux. , one of the most beautiful village in France
...One of the most spectacular places in france. Highly recomended, wonderful owners, great location, stupendous breakfast. A must see for everyone visiting France. One of my favorite places I have ever been!! What can I say other than Le Prince Noir is unlike anywhere we have ever stayed in all our travelling. Ute and Benoit are perfect hosts, the suites are gorgeous, the rooftop terrace offers sweeping views of the Alpilles and the fortress of Les Baux. It was worth every penny. The town of Baux is a charming medieval town open only to pedestrians and in the evening when all the tourists left, we were able to stroll the stone streets almost completely alone--very enchanting. Traveler's note: Le Prince Noir is up at almost the top of the village. It is quite an incline, especially with backpacks, and I would not recommend for those who cannot walk easily uphill or those with health conditions that strain legs or heart. A definitely romantic, unique, experience. This is one of the most jaw-droppingly cool hotels my mom and I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world, and we travel quite a lot. It was a totally unique experience, just wonderful in every conceivable way, and no trip to Provence is complete without it, unless perhaps one is considering handicap accessibility. Beyond that, this place would be fascinating for everyone, it's basically part of medieval ruins, built into the rock and old stone walls like nothing I've ever seen. The food was awesome, Les Baux in general was oozing with charm, and I recommend this place 250% to anyone who wants to see a totally different, but equally charming side of Provence, get a strong sense of history and enjoy great restaurants all crammed into one little village on a craggy hilltop. The place is incredible. Please, please go. .... Yes it is a steep climb to the top and yes you have to leave your car at the bottom until 7:00 PM during the high season but the walk through the village is so fascinating that you will not even notice. Unique and charming B&B. Excellent building and easy to find. Our hosts were fantastic and provided an excellent breakfast. Great outlook over town. Parking is in a public car park about 5 mins walk away, but it was not a problem. "
