"Unique and charming B&B" Date: August 4, 2004 Reviewer: A TripAdvisor User, Chicago, Illinois
Stayed at this amazing place for 3 nights in May 2004. What a unique experience to sleep at the top of an old Roman-era fortress in a home carved out of rock! The breakfasts alone had us swooning. The views from the terrace were stunning, and the room (we stayed in the smallest) was quite comfortable, especially the bed with its big down duvet. The secret to Les Baux is sleeping there; you do your own sightseeing throughout Provence during the day (when Les Baux is jammed with tourists) and then return to feel as if you are the only people in the village at night. Just the sound of the old church bell and the village's cats as companions. Heaven. The only down side is that to have dinner you really need to leave the village. Things shut up pretty tight by 6 or 7 pm. But Arles is less than a half-hour drive away and has lots of good restaurants.

We were impressed with the personal touches in the rooms and decor. Room was lovely, scenic view, breakfast delicious and host was warm and helpful. Useful tips from a well-travelled host to continue our journey in France. A great choice and highly recommended!
"We definitely recommend Le Prince Noir" Date: June 15, 2004 Reviewer: A TripAdvisor User, Perth,AU
Le Prince Noir was a beautiful place to stay! We loved the whole Provence area. The atmosphere of both the hotel and people there is warm and inviting. The breakfast was wonderful as well as the conversation and advice. We definitely recommend Le Prince Noir for anyone wanting to escape to the country!

Beautiful Views from our balcony of the fortress ruin just outside our windows. The setting was tranquil and our hosts at the cute bed and breakfast were great, giving us a lot of great advice on what to do and see.
Lavender Andrew : commentaire (Date de l'avis May 12 2004) Our hosts were very welcoming and provided a wonderful breakfast to us each morning. Our room was at the highest point in Les Baux and the views were absolutely spectacular. Our rooms were actually built into the side of the cliff and left a great memory for our children and ourselves. Heartily recommended for an original experience.
